The Theta chapter of TKE

Why join?

Congratulations on being accepted to the University of Minnesota.  You should be extremely proud of yourself for earning a spot at one of the finest universities in the world.  There is no doubt that you have the best years of your life ahead of you.

While college will be one of the most memorable times of your life, men who join a fraternity realize an even greater appreciation for all that college has to offer.  A fraternity bonds men together through shared experiences, common goals, hard work, and good times.  It creates lifelong friendships and opportunities for collaboration between accomplished and motivated young men that share common values.

Our candidate process is carefully designed with the purpose of developing college-aged candidates into successful students and men who can thrive in the competitive environment of UMN and beyond.  Throughout the process, you will be challenged to maximize your potential as a man. This opportunity will open many doors for success within your college career, and more importantly, will connect you with the people who will provide the tools for you to lead a successful and productive life after graduation. Here you will receive mentorship and create lifelong friendships who will aid in your development as a man.

The Theta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon sees itself as one of the best. We encourage you to Rush TKE.

Leadership

TKE offers your men the opportunity to develop as leaders and prepares them to use those leadership skills during their lifetime. Tekes are encouraged to take an active leadership role in community, campus, and chapter activities.

The Theta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon at University of Minnesota was installed as a chapter on March 10, 1917.

Since 1899, Tau Kappa Epsilon has never had an exclusionary clause for membership. TKE does not judge men on their wealth, rank or honor, but instead on their personal worth and character.

Our mission is to "to aid men in their mental, moral, and social development for life." In essence, we build Better Men for a Better World.
